We are fostering a Syrian refugee family of 8 just outside Amman. When visiting them, we asked them about their living situation and we compared their answers to our criteria which helped us conclude that they are an underprivileged family, here are a few appropriate answers they gave that helped us determine their situation:
-They are a family of 8 living in a 3 room house
-Their diet barely contains any meat, and contains no fruits and vegetables
-They do not own furniture
-Their source of income is their 17 year old son, who works at a bakery
-They live off of coupons, which they run out of before the middle of the month comes around
-They do not go on holidays
-They have a child who needs mental care (an operation) which they can't afford
We are currently in the process of collecting donations; we will begin redesigning this coming weekend.
Looking forward to your donations!
