Minimalism

Minimalism is not only decluttering your environment, it declutters mind fog. The older you get, the more stuff you own, and ironically enough: the more stressed you are. What minimalism aims to do is to avoid that clashing point where you're too stressed to cope with your responsibilities and come home to clutter. Your state of mind is strongly dependent on your senses, when your work environment is disorganized and chaotic, your mind becomes exposed to chaos both internally (from your thoughts) and externally (from your senses), which calls for panic and lack of productivity.
Buzzfeed produced a video where they had a woman try minimalism out, the conclusion of the video was that she realized how many things she kept for the sake of 'owning' them, an egotistical concept - which minimalism also aims to tackle.
